About the Role
An established private hospital in Essex is seeking to recruit a Family Therapist to join the team in their CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) unit. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide therapeutic support and interventions to children, adolescents, and their families, helping to address mental health challenges and promote recovery.
The hospital is set within three acres of landscaped grounds and is a well-regarded provider of mental health services, including inpatient care for both adults and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic support and interventions to children, adolescents, and their families to address mental health challenges.
Facilitate family therapy sessions to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen family relationships.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary CAMHS team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assess family dynamics and identify factors affecting the young person's mental health and wellbeing.
Offer guidance and support to families to promote coping strategies and resilience during inpatient treatment.
What You'll Bring:
Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in clinical or community settings.
A strong foundation in psychological theories and therapeutic techniques specific to family systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and navigate complex family dynamics.
The ability to assess and understand diverse family structures, cultural backgrounds, and individual needs.
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, particularly in mental health environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, emotional resilience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
