Social Care Officer – Family Time Worker
Location: Newcastle NE4
Hours: 37 per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Until March 2026 (with strong potential for extension)

Newcastle is seeking a dedicated Social Care Officer to take on the key responsibilities of a Family Time Worker, helping to create safe, positive and nurturing experiences for children and families during supervised family time.
✨ What You’ll Be Doing
Facilitating and supervising family time sessions, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children at all times
Supporting families to build and strengthen relationships in line with care plans
Maintaining accurate, high-standard records and observations
Working closely with Social Workers, Family Support Teams and partner agencies
Providing transport for children and young people as required
Contributing to a warm, supportive, and person-centred service✨ What We’re Looking For
A compassionate, reliable and proactive individual with experience in social care or working with children and families
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational abilities and a calm, professional approach
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for business use – this is essential
Ability to work confidently and independently, as well as part of a supportive team✨ What We Offer
