Join Our Team – Family Support Worker (Children & Families Team, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council) ✨
📍 Location: Stockton
📄 Contract: 3-month initial term (likely to be extended)
🕒 Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Do you have a passion for supporting children and families to thrive? Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a committed Family Support Worker to join its Children & Families Team.
🧡 Your Role
As a Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering both practical and emotional support to children and families, including those in foster placements, residential care, or supported accommodation.
You will:
Collaborate closely with Social Workers and multi-agency partners to implement meaningful interventions.
Represent the service at key forums such as Child Protection Conferences, Reviews, and Court proceedings.
Advocate for children by ensuring their voices are central to all decisions and interventions.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using the Liquid Logic case management system.📌 What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for someone who:
Has substantial experience supporting children and families, ideally within statutory or safeguarding services.
Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
Possesses strong communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
Is adaptable and open to working occasional hours outside the standard working week.✅ Essential Requirements
