Fashion Buyer | Fashion | Ecom & Retail Buyer | £45,000 - £65,000 As a Buyer, you'll lead the strategic development of a commercially successful, innovative, and customer-focused product offer. You'll be responsible for shaping and delivering a balanced range that reflects brand identity, meets customer expectations, and drives sales and margin performance. Working collaboratively with Buying, Merchandising, and Product Support teams, you'll oversee the sourcing, planning, and trading of multi-category products ensuring every range delivers both creative and commercial impact. This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to an experienced Fashion Buyer with a strong background in product development, strategic thinking, and team management. Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic range building across multi-product categories, ensuring strong balance, innovation, and commercial success. Develop and evolve the brand identity within your category to maximise market potential and customer appeal. Create and buy ranges that combine wardrobe staples with trend-led pieces, tailored to specialist customer needs. Identify product gaps and new opportunities, driving agility and sales-focused decision-making across the team. Build and communicate clear pricing and product strategies informed by performance data, customer insight, and market trends. Ensure the category continues to evolve, maintaining freshness, variety, and customer relevance season after season. Analyse daily sales and trading data to identify bestsellers, slow movers, and new opportunities, reacting swiftly to maximise profit and minimise risk. Partner with Merchandising to plan buys, manage OTB, and deliver seasonal budgets that protect both margin and cash sales. Oversee all product launches and trading actions via effective critical path management to ensure timely delivery and execution. Create and present seasonal strategy and "lessons learnt" packs to influence directors, partners, and cross-functional teams. Review and evolve ways of working to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and accountability across the buying function. Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Product Support, and Brand teams to align critical paths, trading plans, and category strategies. Represent the department in partner and supplier meetings, sharing insights, shaping strategy, and championing continuous improvement. Build and maintain a robust supplier base, ensuring capacity and capability to support current and future growth Strengthen supplier relationships while onboarding new partners, driving supplier strategy and sustainable sourcing initiatives. Negotiate effectively to secure the best commercial outcomes while upholding brand values, ethical standards, and product integrity. Work with Product Support to maintain exceptional standards of fit, quality, and consistency. Manage, motivate, and develop direct reports, ensuring the team is clear, supported, and commercially focused every day. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members, driving accountability and professional growth. Foster a high-performance culture built on collaboration, ownership, and shared success. What You'll Bring: Proven buying experience within ladieswear, ideally including specialist or niche markets. Demonstrated success in multi-product category management and strategic range planning. A strong commercial track record with deep understanding of fashion product and customer behaviour. Experience in a buyer-led environment without design team support. Confident team leader with proven ability to manage, motivate, and inspire. Expert sourcing knowledge and established supplier relationships. Results-driven, analytical, and highly organised, with strong commercial and strategic awareness. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
