Domiciliary Care Coordinator Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire Start Date: ASAP Salary: £28,000–£34,000 per annum (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About Verity Healthcare Verity Healthcare Limited is a trusted domiciliary care provider delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes. We work closely with local authorities, the NHS, CCGs, private hospitals, and private clients to help people maintain independence and dignity within their own homes. Due to continued growth across Peterborough and the surrounding Cambridgeshire areas, we are looking for an organised, compassionate, and proactive Care Coordinator to join our team. The Role As a Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our domiciliary care services across Peterborough and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for coordinating care staff rotas, liaising with service users and care workers, responding to changes in care requirements, and ensuring care is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with CQC standards. This is a fast-paced, office-based role that requires excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Creating and managing staff rotas using care scheduling systems Allocating care workers to service users based on their needs, availability, and location Coordinating care across Peterborough and surrounding areas Responding to staff absences and arranging emergency cover Liaising with service users, families, and care staff on a daily basis Monitoring care delivery to ensure high standards are maintained Updating care plans and maintaining accurate records Supporting the Care Manager with compliance and CQC requirements Conducting spot checks, supervisions, and field support when required Handling incoming calls, queries, and concerns professionally Monitoring staff attendance, punctuality, and availability Ensuring continuity of care for all service users Supporting the wider team with the day-to-day running of the branch Skills & Experience Required Previous experience working within a domiciliary care setting – essential Previous experience in care coordination, rostering, scheduling, or a similar role – desirable Strong understanding of CQC regulations and care standards Excellent organisational and time-management skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and resolve issues quickly Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good IT skills and experience using care management or scheduling systems Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands A proactive and solution-focused approach Full UK driving licence – desirable What We Offer * Supportive and friendly working environment * Ongoing training and professional development * Career progression opportunities * Pension scheme * Employee Assistance Programme * Paid training and CPD * Opportunity to develop your career within a growing healthcare organisation Why Join Verity Healthcare?
