A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic female Physical Education Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school community in Walkden. This role offers the chance to inspire young people—especially girls—to lead active lives, build self-belief, and develop key life skills through sport.
Location: Walkden, M28
Pay Scale: £150 – £230 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Immediate
The Role – Female PE Teacher
You will be responsible for delivering a broad and inclusive PE curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across a range of sporting disciplines
Encourage full participation and increase confidence, particularly among girls
Create an inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to succeed
Promote leadership, teamwork, and resilience in both lessons and extracurricular activities
Track and assess student progress, adapting your approach to meet diverse learning needs
Support whole-school life through active involvement in events, clubs, and sports teams
Work collaboratively within the department to continuously improve outcomes
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold QTS and have experience teaching PE at secondary level
Be passionate about girls' physical education and inclusive sport
Demonstrate strong classroom management and a motivational teaching style
Communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents
Show commitment to professional development and reflective practice
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service
