The Client recruiting for the Field Service & Calibration Engineer Fastest growing company in their industry, specialising in hardness testing machinery. Excellent training, support, and ongoing opportunities. Work with a varied client base in Research, Automotive, Aerospace, General Manufacturing, and Rail sectors. "Recruit for attitude, train for skill" Trusted by testing laboratories, scientists, and engineers nationally.Your Role as a Field Service & Calibration Engineer You'll be field based, covering the UK with occasional international travel. You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of hardness testing equipment and instrumentation. You will be working within a variety of appealing manufacturing sectors including the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries, amongst others. You will play an important role in ensuring the equipment is correctly calibrated and always maintained to ISO and ASTM standards. Compile detailed reports as appropriate. Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. The field-based nature of the role will require nights away from home; on average of 1 - 2 per week.Ideal Background for the Field Service & Calibration Engineer Position Knowledge of hardness testing machinery is mandatory for this role. Either as a current service engineer, or as somebody using the machinery in a lab. Familiar with at least one of the main types of testing; Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, Knoop, Shore, Webster, and Leeb. A strong engineering understanding is essential in mechanical and electrical disciplines. Approachable, honest, and a team player. Strong IT and communication skills. Hold a full valid UK driving licence and have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can't be provided.The Package for the Field Service & Calibration Engineer £33,000 - £38,000 basic salary, depending on experience. Annual company performance related bonus. Pension at 5% from company, 3% employee. Company vehicle, tools, laptop & phone.
