Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading provider of uninterruptible power supplies to recruit a field service engineer for its UK-wide service team.

The strategically important Industrial Electrical Technician role comes with a salary of £30,000-£40,000, company van, pension, overtime opportunities, door-to-door pay, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities and duties of the Field Service Engineer role

Reporting to the Service Manager you will:

Provide onsite commissioning maintenanc
Changing and Repairing industrial batteries, chargers and associated equipment
Complete job sheets and reports on battery maintenance for submission to Norco Head office.
Cleaning of batteries and chargers to the agreed standard.
Identify and report additional work opportunities during site visits.
Complete electrical testing and associated documentation. 

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Strong electrical/mechanical knowledge would be an advantage although no formal qualifications are required for this post. Experience of working with fork lift trucks would be an advantage. Full training on product and equipment will be provided

CSCS / ECS card.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Willingness to travel nationally and stay away when required (expenses paid).

Technically skilled with strong problem-solving abilities.
Confident in supervising others and providing guidance.
Able to work independently and within a team.
Flexible and prepared to travel to support customer needs.
Strong in communication, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, engineers, and sales teams. 

Salary and benefits of the Industrial Electrical Technician role

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per annum
Door-to-door pay.
Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00 (with flexible start/finish times).
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (33 days in total).
Company van provided.
Pension scheme.
Overtime available.
