Job Description
Summary of this position:
* The Field service engineer will be based in the Midlands, UK and may require to work globally but predominantly across their European client base; installing, commissioning, maintaining and servicing their equipment as part of their business strategy.
Job Responsibilities/Activities:
* Survey customer site in advance of equipment supply and installation.
* Undertake all aspects of equipment installation and commissioning.
* Scheduled servicing of manual and automated plant at our client sites including cleaning, inspection and testing as per our standard procedures.
* Complete detailed audits of plant/machines at client sites, detailing faults and requirements for repairs.
* Installation, repairs and maintenance of manual and automated plant at their client sites.
* Generate/specify detailed material list for service, maintenance and installation works.
* Completion of detailed service reports and job-related documentation.
Education/skills/Experiences
* Mechanical/Electrical qualified engineer, preference being electrically biased. Proficiency and experience in pneumatics, heating, cooling, control systems pumping systems, process valves, instrumentation, steam heating system etc.
* 5+ years’ engineering experience
* 5+ years proven engineering service support in manufacturing industry segments
* Experience installing large capital equipment project
* Demonstrated experience working with PLC’s, HMI and SCADA systems
* Ability to read and interpret pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and P & ID drawings
* Ability to work under pressure, with tight schedules necessitating extra hours at times: weekend and ‘unsocial' hours are often required, particularly where equipment is in 24-hour operation
* Willingness & ability to travel overseas on a regular basisBefore You Apply
