Job Description
Are you an experienced Field Service Technician with a strong background in plant or construction machinery?
We're currently recruiting for a Field Service Technician to join a highly respected machinery business, the UK arm of an international engineering group. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role with excellent earning potential, top-tier equipment, and a supportive team that values your expertise.
Location: Northampton | On-site
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-6:00pm (Flexible)
Pay: £45,000 - £52,000 per annum (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs on piling rigs and heavy plant equipment
Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
Working with diesel engines and complex electro-hydraulic systems
Travelling to customer sites across the UK and Ireland, with occasional overnight stays
Providing professional, knowledgeable support as the face of the company
Keeping your service vehicle and equipment in top working orderRequirements:
Has 5+ years of experience working with heavy plant or construction equipment
Understands diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Can confidently diagnose and resolve mechanical/electrical faults
Has a full, clean UK driving licence
Is willing to travel and stay away when requiredWhat's On Offer:
