Field Service Engineer - Combustion & Boiler Plant
📍 UK-Wide Travel (Primarily Local Region)
💼 Full-Time | Permanent
💰 Up to £45,000 per annum + Overtime + Vehicle + Bonus
Join a leading industrial engineering provider specialising in combustion systems, boiler plant, and process support across public and private sectors. This hands-on role is ideal for a technically skilled engineer with proven experience in boiler house maintenance and burner systems.
🔍 What you'll be doing
Perform planned/reactive maintenance on industrial boiler and combustion plant
Diagnose, fault-find, and repair mechanical and electrical issues
Install, commission and service gas-fired and process heating equipment
Carry out performance testing, upgrades, and energy efficiency improvements
Participate in out-of-hours call-outs and scheduled weekend/overtime work
Generate reports and compliance documentation for clients
Provide technical feedback and support ongoing improvement initiatives
UK travel required with occasional overnight stays
📌 Requirements
Essential:
Full UK driving licence
Commercial gas qualifications: COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CORT1
Strong experience servicing industrial burners and boiler plant
Fault-finding skills across combustion controls and mechanical/electrical systems
Familiarity with manufacturers such as Dunphy, Weishaupt, Saacke, Hamworthy, Nu-WayDesirable:
Additional gas tickets: CDGA1, TPCP1, TPCP1A
HNC or equivalent in engineering discipline
17th/18th Edition Electrical, IOSH/Safety Passport
Steam, hot water, thermal oil, or digital burner control knowledge
Customer-facing and computer literacy skills
