Job Description
JRS Associates have partnered with an exciting company in the Glasgow area to recruit a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer with experience across Plant, Bus, and Agricultural machinery.
As a key member of the Glasgow field team, you’ll be delivering high standards of fault diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and on-site overhauls of heavy-duty equipment. If you’re experienced with large diesel engines, hydraulics, and transmissions – and enjoy working directly with customers across Scotland – this role is for you!
The Successful Field Service Engineer - Package:
*
Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 per annum
*
Benefits: Company van, paid door to door
*
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 4:45pm
*
Progression: Training courses valued at £10,000+
The Successful Field Service Engineer - Duties and Responsibilities:
*
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and axles on Plant, Bus, and Agricultural machinery
*
Carry out inspections, disassembly, and reassembly to the highest standards
*
Provide fault-finding expertise on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
*
Maintain strong customer communication and service in the Glasgow region
*
Support apprentices and junior engineers when required
*
Work efficiently to meet KPIs and operational targets
The Successful Field Service Engineer - Requirements:
*
5+ years’ experience on Plant, Bus, or Agricultural equipment
*
Diagnostic expertise with diesel engines, hydraulics, and transmissions
*
Competent with modern diagnostic tools and Microsoft Office
*
Strong customer service and communication skills
*
Full UK driving licence
