Job Description
Field Service Engineer – Compressed Air & Gas Systems
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: Competitive + Overtime + Vehicle + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a specialist rental business supplying industrial air and gas solutions across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, utilities, and process industries.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, and commissioning work on rental equipment — including compressors, blowers, and vacuum systems — both on customer sites and within the depot when required.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Service, maintain, and repair industrial air and gas equipment (compressors, blowers, vacuum systems, etc.)
*
Carry out fault diagnosis and provide effective on-site technical solutions
*
Support commissioning and decommissioning of rental units
*
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company and client procedures
*
Provide excellent customer service and technical support on-site
*
Participate in the on-call rota and respond to urgent breakdowns when required
Key Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally within compressed air, gas, or rotating equipment sectors
*
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
*
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
*
Good communication and problem-solving skills
