Field Service Engineer - South East
Location: Field-based, covering Reading, Oxford, and surrounding areas
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join a well-established organisation known for high-quality engineering solutions. You'll play a key role in supporting customers across the South East by delivering prompt, effective service, maintenance, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver first-class on-site service and product support to customers.
Diagnose faults and carry out maintenance and repairs remotely and on-site, in line with ISO9001 standards.
Plan and deliver both internal and customer training sessions.
Investigate and resolve technical issues, warranty claims, and in-field failures.
Ensure efficient resolution of issues while keeping stakeholders informed.
Complete service documentation and administrative tasks to a high standard.
Working on a 1 in 4 weekends rota. Be part of the out-of-hours call rota when required.
Maintain strong communication and professional relationships with customers.
Key Skills & Experience:
Electrical qualifications essential (ONC, OND, HNC, HND or equivalent).
Strong mechanical competence - ideally cross-disciplinary skill set.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
Competent with computer systems and service software.
Self-motivated, with strong time management and planning skills.
Able to represent the company professionally in the field.This role offers a mix of technical challenge, autonomy, and customer interaction, ideal for someone who enjoys field-based work and problem-solving.
