Job Description
Express Recruitment are delighted to be representing an Engineering Solutions Specialist who are looking to hire an Electrician on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will inspect and carry out repairs on electrical systems, troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, respond to and attend emergency callouts, and maintain clear communications with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in an Industrial Electrician role, be comfortable working away from home when required (including overnight), and be 18th Edition qualified along with C&G 2391 in Inspection and Testing.
Working hours are contracted to 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (this is not a door-to-door role, candidates must be on site for a 7am start).
They are offering a competitive salary of up to £21 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to £55,000 per annum with overtime and working away allowances. Roles and Responsibilities
* Inspect and carry out repairs on electrical systems, equipment, and components including HV systems, MCC’s and inverters
* Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and identify root cause of issues
* Commission and erect cable handling systems
* Ensure repaired equipment are functioning correctly and safely
* Respond to and attend emergency callouts
* Maintain clear communication with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and contractors
* Follow scheduled maintenance plans
* Comply with company Health and Safety policies and procedures
Skills and Experience
* Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or HNC/HND equivalent
* 18Edition qualification is essential
* 2391 Test and Inspection qualification is essential
* HV Appointed Person desirable
* Previous experience working in Water & Utilities sector, including water treatment plants and pumping stations
* Maintenance and service experience on three phase systems, MCC’s, inverters, control panels and cabling systems
* Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers desirable
* EUSR Hygiene Card holder desirable
* Holder of CSCS and SSSTS certifications preferred but not essential
* Comfortable working away as and when required, including overnight stays
* Able to work in confined spaces
