Field Service Technician (Electrical, Microwave ovens + Catering Equipment)
Based in Birmingham covering up to a 50 mile radius from Central Birmingham
£32000 - £36000 starting Salary DOE + Overtime and Bonuses
Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join a specialist, niche company that will invest in your training and future development to ensure that you and the company stay at the forefront of their industry.
The successful applicant will be home-based and you will be partly responsible for managing your own time and workloads to ensure the best service is provided. The day to day allocation of work will ensure a varied working experience as you will be visiting Coffee chains, QSR's and the Pub/Restaurant part of the hospitality industry as part of your daily site locations. All work is sent to you on your Tablet / Smartphone the evening before and will be used to capture all on-site details when attended.
Training is given both on-site and at our clients dedicated training facility at their HO in Northamptonshire. Initially, you will be paired up with an area manager to develop and settle you into the role. Training will consist of 2 weeks at the HO then 3 weeks with your Area Manager alternating for up to 3 months then you will go solo.
Once trained, our client will provide you with a company vehicle and ensure you are provided with the right tools to carry out their working day as well as the necessary PPE and Workwear.
Competitive Starting salary (£32,000 £36,000 DOE)
Monday to Friday working week with a 1-3 weekend Rota (Once trained)
Work from home, paid door to door.
28 Day Holiday Entitlement including Bank Holidays
Overtime availability paid at an enhanced rate
Varied working day
No requirement for Gas certifications The Person:
Will have field service experience dealing with electrical servicing, repairs and installations, ideally working with White Domestic Goods or Industrial Catering Equipment.
Electrical / Electronic knowledge
Full UK Diriving licence
Troubleshooting skills coupled with an aptitude for Practical work
The flexibility to work varied hours as and when required.
Good customer skills, polite and courteous
Organised and thorough
Flexible with a "can do" attitude
Tech-savvy with Mobile devices as use of Tablets with a high-quality service management system to allow "real-time" updates of your day to day work schedule and parts inventory.We would welcome applications from experienced service technicians with the relevant experience in fault finding and problem-solving or newly qualified service technicans and who have the energy, commitment and eagerness to learn and succeed in a new company.
