Job Description

Role Overview: * Complete required compliance checks (electronic and manual) and follow up outstanding information where necessary; * Check client records in LEAP contain all required information and accurately transfer data to matter documents / system records to support Consultants; * Ensure documentation and LEAP updates finalised accurately and efficiently so consultants can get on with advising their clients; * Maintain effective reminder alert systems and follow up actions where required to ensure compliance matters settled on files in a timely manner; * Assist with helping new joiners to the firm set up their files to maximise productivity and adherence to compliance requirements; * Build and maintain positive relationships with our Internal team, Compliance team and Consultants – working with the wider team to progress compliance checks efficiently and resolve queries; * Assist with identifying potential process improvements and supporting process changes for improved ways of working This job description is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to carry out other (or alternative) duties when asked to do so your line manager or by a Director. Working Arrangement * Mon-Friday, 4 hours per day – flexible on start / finish times, but we will need to have cross over with our File Management Clerk, (who finishes at 1.30pm), so a 12pm start is the latest we can do. Ideally a 10 – 2pm (or (phone number removed)pm). Tuesday and Thursday in the office, other days working from home. * Flexible work from home arrangements available, however, minimum one day per week in Leeds office required and ideally, you would be in the office two days per week routinely (Tuesday and Thursday). It is about connection, working closely with their File Management Clerk and being up-to-date with training and matters. You would also need the person to be flexible with coming in when asked for meetings / training etc (occasional requests). * Salary - £24,000 - £26,000 FTE equivalent * Benefits include – * 24 days annual leave + Bank Holidays and time off during Christmas closure (days office is closed over xmas not taken from personal allowance) * Pension Scheme, Life Assurance, Income Protection & Critical Illness Cover Experience / Skills Required: This role will suit someone with strong data management and administrative experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to accurately maintain and update records. The ideal candidate will be proactive in monitoring reminder alerts, tracking outstanding matters, and following up with consultants or team members to ensure timely completion of actions. A key part of the role involves assessing information provided and verifying it against compliance requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness before records are finalised. This position is primarily data- and process-focused, rather than routine mail or scanning tasks. Experience working in a legal practice an advantage, but not required. Any experience working in regulated industries in similar type roles is also a preferred option
