Job Description

Final PCB Inspector 

Hemel Hempstead

Salary: £35,000 DOE

To carry out final inspection of PCBs and electronic assemblies to ensure full compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and IPC guidelines before product release.

Key Responsibilities

Perform final visual and mechanical inspection using microscopes, magnifiers, and measurement tools.
Verify conformity to IPC-A-610/IPC-600, drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications.
Identify defects including solder issues, misalignment, contamination, missing components, and physical damage.
Document inspection results and raise non-conformances where required.
Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement with production and quality teams.Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of PCB/electronic assembly processes.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and quality standards.
High attention to detail and strong defect-spotting capability.
Competent with microscopes, calipers, and inspection equipment.
Good documentation and communication skills.
Self-motivated, quality-focused, and able to work independently.Experience & Qualifications

PCB or electronics inspection experience (5+ years preferred).
IPC-A-610 or IPC-600 certification (advantageous).
