Finance Administrator (Temporary – Until March 2026, Potential for Extension)
Location: Primarily home-based, with the option to work from offices in Inverness or Edinburgh
Contract Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £28,255 per annum
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join their finance team on a temporary contract until March 2026, with the potential for extension. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy finance function within a well-structured public sector organisation, supporting a range of financial processes and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase orders and invoice batches using the organisation’s financial system
Manage and monitor the shared finance mailbox, ensuring queries are handled promptly
Provide financial administrative support to contract managers
Create and maintain supplier accounts
Complete month-end reconciliations, including journal and monthly spend checks (GPC & EEMS)
Provide general administrative and ad hoc support to the Finance Support ManagerEssential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a financial administrative role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Confident working both independently and as part of a teamDesirable Skills
