Finance Assistant - Redbridge Secondary School
We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join a highly successful and well-organised secondary school in Redbridge. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a welcoming and professional finance team within an outstanding school that takes great pride in its staff and students.
The Role - Finance Assistant:
Support the day-to-day running of the school's finance office, including processing invoices and payments.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end reconciliations.
Manage petty cash, purchase orders, and supplier queries efficiently.
Support budget monitoring and liaise with departments regarding expenditure.
Assist in preparing financial reports and audit documentation.
Provide general administrative support to the Finance Manager and SLT.
The ideal Finance Assistant will have:
Previous finance or accounts experience, ideally within a school or educational setting.
Strong IT skills including Excel and finance systems (Bromcom experience desirable).
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
A professional, reliable, and proactive attitude.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
