Job Description

NLB Solutions are working with an organisation that are looking to recruit for a Finance Officer that has experience of processing accounts payables and receivables and deal with any issues proactively. The business have a fully remote working policy but have regular meetings in St Albans, Watford or Hemel. The Finance Officer will report into a Finance Manager that has been instrumental in making the team operate effectively and efficiently in the requirements of the business. The role is to work as part of team of 4 and is supported by an individual that offers mentorship and development. The role will mainly be process driven but will need someone proactive and with good communication skills. An individual with at least 2 or 3 years of experience as a minimum is required to make a success of this opportunity. Duties: * Invoices are processed accurately, queries are resolved and reconciliations completed in line with specific timeframes. * All funds received into bank accounts are recorded correctly, unallocated receipts are cleared, and queries are responded to within specific timescales. * Banking tasks are completed as required, banking transactions identified from statements are posted promptly to the ledger, unusual transactions are reported immediately. * A high quality of customer service is provided by the AP/AR team. Person Spec: * Proven work experience as a Finance Officer in a similar transactional finance role, at least 3 years’ practical experience in an accounting or financial environment. * Solid understanding of basic accounting principles. * Proven ability to calculate, process and post accurate financial records efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. * Proficient data entry skills along with an affinity for numbers. * Hands-on experience with spreadsheets, accounting, and management software, experience using MS Office suite products, in particular Excel and Word. * A strong communicator, with good verbal and written communication skills. * A strong customer focus, with a desire to deliver a great customer experience
