Job Description
Are you a Finance Assistant on short notive or looking for an immediate start? If so my Kidderminster-based client is looking for a proactive and hands-on individual to join their finance team on a 3-month contract, with the potential for this to develop into a longer-term opportunity.
This is a fantastic role for someone who enjoys variety, has a solid foundation in finance, and is looking to gain experience in a supportive environment. It’s also a great fit for someone with the right attitude and a willingness to learn and be trained.
You’ll be involved in:
* Journal entries;
* Cashflow support;
* Bank reconciliations;
* Sales and purchase ledger invoicing;
* Preparing information for management accounts (for two subsidiaries);
* Supplier statement reconciliations;
* Issuing receipts and allocating payments;
* Invoice discounting;
* General finance admin tasks;
* Updating spreadsheets and extracting data for reporting;
* Liaising with internal departments and external contacts.
Ideally you will have experience:
* Ideally AAT qualified or currently working towards the qualification;
* Solid grounding in accounts/finance;
* Familiarity with invoice discounting (or willing to learn);
* Strong attention to detail and good Excel skills;
* Positive attitude, eager to learn, and happy to be trained;
* Available immediately and open to a contract role
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 annual equivalent (depending on experience)
