Our Client is hiring for a Finance Assistant role, working in either their Edinburgh or Dunermline office.

THE ROLE
- Bulk processing of invoices, expenses and other financial transactions
- Credit Control
- Bank and control account reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT files and returns, including month end control account reconciliations
- Assisting departmental managers with ad hoc client tasks
- Online accounts software set-up
- Maintaining up to date technical knowledge of VAT rules and accounting software
- Oral and written communication with client and HMRC
- Liaising with colleagues to provide a co-ordinated service to the client.
- Maintaining client contact to deliver proactive service
- Filing and document management
ABOUT YOU
- Ideally you will have a minimum of 4 years' experience working within an accounting practice using online accounting software.
- You should be able to demonstrate a passion for online accounting software and an understanding of current advisory services supported by tech and app stacks.
- You will be committed to delivering first class service to clients and colleagues alike.
- Ability to work on own initiative to meet tight deadlines.
- You will have excellent IT skills and have a proven ability to retain knowledge in relation to software.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Adaptable with the ability to prioritise workload.
