Role: Finance Assistant (Temporary)
Location: Hove
Hours: Part-time, approx. 16 hours per week - 9:00am to 1:00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (with flexibility)
Pay: £12.21 - £13.50 per hour
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join one of our clients on a temporary basis in Hove. This is a part-time position running from September 2025 - January 2026, with the potential to extend.

The Requirements:
Availability from September 2025
Recent experience using spreadsheets for record-keeping
Proficiency and confidence in IT use
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise workload and manage tasks independently
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Understanding of bookkeeping principles (desirable)
Experience using Xero accounting software (desirable)
The Role:
Manage financial transactions on behalf of clients using online banking
Correctly allocate income to client sub-accounts
Communicate with colleagues to ensure accounts remain within authorised limits
Make weekly cash allowances and grant payments as required
Maintain accurate records using accounting software
Reconcile accounts, cash, and credit card transactions
Work with internal teams to ensure up-to-date client financial records
Support volunteers with financial tasks where required
