Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Reporting to: Head of Finance
About the Company
Our client is a global logistics provider specialising in E-Commerce, Express Courier, Cargo Services, and One-Stop Logistics Solutions. They support the transit of international imports and exports with a strong focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.
We are now seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to join their Finance Department and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
The Role
As Finance Assistant, you’ll support with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and management reporting. You’ll help ensure all financial processes run efficiently and meet month-end deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing and uploading sales invoices into Sage with correct coding
Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
Allocating customer and supplier receipts
Monthly reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors, and operating systems)
Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation
Ad hoc finance and administrative duties
About You
We’re looking for someone confident, detail-oriented, and proactive who can work independently while being part of a supportive team.
Essential Skills:
Minimum GCSE (A–C) in Maths & English (or equivalent)
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable:
2+ years in a finance role
Experience using Sage and Microsoft Business Central
Previous logistics or industry experience
