Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Location: North West
Reports to: Finance Dirctor
Salary: 50-55K
Purpose of the Role
To act as a strategic partner to business leaders by providing financial insight, analysis, and guidance that supports decision-making, improves financial performance, and drives business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
Deliver insightful financial analysis and reports to support operational and strategic decisions.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for designated business areas.
Challenge business performance constructively to ensure alignment with targets & objectives.
Translate complex financial data into meaningful, actionable insights for stakeholders.
Partner with operational teams to evaluate business cases, cost-saving initiatives, and investment decisions.
Identify risks &opportunities, providing early warning on variances from budget or forecast.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial procedures, and corporate governance.
Support month-end processes, variance analysis, and reporting for relevant departments.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and business partnering practices.
Required Skills and Experience
Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
Proven experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commercial awareness and understanding of operational performance drivers.
Proficient in financial modelling and using Excel and finance systems
