Finance Business Partner £42,754 - £47,754 + £7k Market Supplement Permanent Derbyshire (1-2 days p/w onsite) Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner looking for the next challenge in your career? My client is looking for someone to manage the Business Partner delivery of a specific finance function, ensuring accurate financial information. You will play a key role in providing expert advice and support to stakeholders to ensure value for money and protection of funds within the designated service area. As the Finance Business Partner, you will be the expert in your designated area with a strong understanding of the impact on stakeholders you support. You will play a significant role in developing the service area, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the service area works effectively and is compliant with regulations. Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner Act as the expert in your service area, whilst understanding the impact on stakeholders Support the development of the service area, working in collaboration with colleagues Monitor performance and promote continuous improvement to maximise quality and effectiveness Prepare, plan and monitor budgets of designated service area to include future planning Provide clear guidance via financial reports, statistics and analysis Assist with bid preparation from external bodies Ensure the team meet reporting requirements in a timely manner Develop and enhance processes to ensure compliance is met within the service area Required skills and experience of the Finance Business Partner Fully Qualified Accountant with evidence of CPD Previous experience in a public sector finance role, ideally within local government Operational experience of budget setting in a large and complex organisation Strong knowledge of financial practices and procedures Demonstrable experience of working with financial systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join this Derbyshire based local authority.
