Job Description

A rapidly growing international business, operating in the technology space, is seeking to recruit a Finance Director to take ownership of the overall management of the accounting function and financial reporting. The role reports into a CFO but will provide day‑to‑day leadership to both the finance and management teams with a broad technical accounting group remit. Responsibilities will include:

  * Oversee the submission of monthly management accounts and consolidation packs of a multiple entity international group

  * Oversee the production and accuracy of monthly management analytic report

  * Ensure all projects comply with revenue recognition accounting standards

  * Maintain full control of balance sheet reconciliations.

  * Manage intercompany balance reconciliations and timely settlements

  * Ensure full compliance with tax, VAT, audit and regulatory obligations, ensuring clean audits

  * Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process, working closely with Business Unit Directors.

  * Act as a key point of contact for commercial decision‑making across the business.

  * Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies, statutory requirements and internal control frameworks

  * Manage cashflow forecasting and strong banking relationships

  * Provide line management to 4 qualified accountants and lead and mentor the broader finance team

The successful candidate will fully qualified and bring proven experience in a similar senior finance role and demonstrate the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Experience working in a project‑driven accounting environment with exposure to software revenue recognition would be a significant advantage. People management will be a key component to ensure team engagement in a changing environment. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and forward-looking analytical abilities will also add value to the group
