This Finance Director opportunity offers the chance to lead the financial strategy of a growing private hospital, working directly with the CEO and COO to drive performance, growth, and long-term sustainability.

The Role – Finance Director

As Finance Director, you will hold full responsibility for the finance function, ensuring robust controls, strategic planning, accurate reporting, and commercial leadership across the hospital.

The successful Finance Director will be a key member of the leadership team, helping shape future direction while ensuring excellent financial governance.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Director

  * 

    Lead the overall financial strategy of the business

  * 

    Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and board reports

  * 

    Manage annual budgeting and long-term financial planning

  * 

    Provide strategic advice to the CEO and COO

  * 

    Oversee payroll, invoicing, ledgers, and cash flow

  * 

    Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

  * 

    Lead audits and external financial relationships

  * 

    Improve systems, reporting tools, and operational efficiencies

  * 

    Support growth plans, investment decisions, and new service development

About You – Finance Director

To succeed in this Finance Director role, you will have:

  * 

    Proven experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader

  * 

    Strong commercial and strategic financial acumen

  * 

    Experience working closely with CEOs, COOs, or boards

  * 

    Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills

  * 

    Qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CIMA preferred)

  * 

    Experience within healthcare, hospitals, care, or regulated sectors desirable
