Job Description
Simpson Judge are exclusively partnered with an SME in Runcorn in their search for a Finance Director. Supporting the CFO, the Finance Director will oversee the full finance function, including managing a team of 9 and deliver strategic commercial insights and guidance to the SLT. This role is full time on site.
Locations: Runcorn (on site)
Salary: £70,000-£80,000
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the daily financial operations across two companies, ensuring efficient and robust processes
Production of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis against forecasts and insightful commentary for board reporting
Overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts, acting as the primary contact for external auditors
Review and authorisation of client payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls and timelines
Working closely with the Credit Control team to ensure prompt collection of aged debt and resolution of outstanding balances
Acting as a financial partner, offering strategic insight and high quality financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Ensuring all statutory returns are completed and submitted accurately and on time, in full compliance with regulatory requirements
Maintaining full compliance with SRA accounting rules, keeping accurate records and liaising effectively with auditors
Overseeing purchase ledger and associated payment processes, ensuring strong financial controls are upheld
Overseeing the timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll and pension submissions
Supporting the annual insurance renewal process and ensuring accuracy and completion of all regulatory submissionsRequirements:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified
Proven experience in a hands on, senior financial leadership role
Experience of SRA Accounts Rules would be beneficial
Oversight of R&D activities, including cost tracking and tax credit optimisation, ideally within a service or regulated industryBefore You Apply
