Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable Financial Director to join a busy manufacturing business based in Southampton.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a key role responsible for driving financial performance, managing reporting processes, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Experience in a transformational finance role would be beneficial. Strong leadership and organisational skills are essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make a significant impact on financial control and overall business direction, while leading and guiding a team to success.
Please note this role is fully office based.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Analysis of financial performance including variance analysis on invoicing, gross margin, and cash flow
Support with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies
Oversee the audit process and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Provide financial insights for long-term investment planning and performance monitoring
Drive continuous improvements in financial systems and reporting processes
Lead and develop a small finance team
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong background in financial control, reporting, and consolidations
Proven experience in variance analysis and commercial reporting
Sound knowledge of IFRS and regulatory compliance
Confident communicator with excellent analytical skills
Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
