Finance Director Needed in Greater Manchester:
Location: Greater Manchester
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (flexibility required when necessary)
Salary: Basic up to £60,000 per annum
Our client, a specialist vehicle service and repair group, is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and overseeing the finance function within a growing business. Immediate employment is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Director:
Oversee and manage a small finance team, including bookkeepers, credit control, and payroll
Lead on profit and loss management, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business decisions
Work closely with senior management to drive financial performance and business growth
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
Implement and monitor effective financial controls and systems
Offer strategic advice to the board and stakeholdersWhat We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Finance Director (or similar senior finance role)
Strong background in profit and loss management
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Must have strong knowledge and experience using Sage accounting software
Experience within the Automotive sector is highly desirable
Previous progression from Management Accountant to FD level desirable
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work flexibly and meet business needs
