About the Role
A Finance Executive is required to support UK & European operations in a fast-paced, multi-currency FMCG environment. This role will assist the Finance Manager, ensure accurate ledgers, deliver month-end reporting, and provide commercial insights to drive growth. Reports directly to the General Manager and leadership team on selected workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
* Manage and reconcile sales, purchases, and nominal ledgers monthly
* Post the month-end journals and reconcile the trial balance
* Prepare accurate management accounts and financial reports
* Analyse performance vs budget, forecast, and prior years
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards
Commercial & Strategic Support
* Deliver actionable commercial analysis for business growth
* Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, and FX exposure
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Team Leadership & Collaboration
* Lead and mentor two junior finance team members
* Partner with operations, sales, and supply chain teams
* Undertake ad hoc analysis and strategic projects
Key Requirements
* 4+ years’ finance/accounting experience working within a FMCG/manufacturing/distribution is business is essential
* Proficiency in Sage 200
* Strong multi-currency and foreign exchange knowledge
* Advanced Excel & financial modelling skills
* High accuracy under tight deadlines
* Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management
