Finance Manager - Commercial Evaluations Hertfordshire (Hybrid - 2-3 days / Flexible Working) Circa £65,000 - £75,000 per annum (depending on experience) £Generous Bonus £Comprehensive Benefits Package Overview: An exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join this market leading international business where you will be able to apply your finance and business partnering skills in a truly commercial context, working within a fast-paced, multi-skilled environment. This role offers a high level of autonomy and insight into how large organisations manage business and commercial risks. This role requires someone with exposure to commercial project evaluations, including areas such as costings, pricing, project evaluation, scenario planning, and bids/tender evaluations or similar, with a demonstrable background in business partnering commercial, operational or project teams. You will likely come from a manufacturing, technology, construction, or other project-based industry / sector. The Role: You will join a specialist, independent finance team responsible for the review and analysis of bids and proposals, facilitating internal approvals and supporting contract negotiations. The role provides strategic insight into organisational business direction, covering both domestic and international opportunities across the full lifecycle of products-from assessment and development to manufacturing and customer support. Key Responsibilities: * Act as a trusted finance business partner in bid and proposal processes * Maintain strong working relationships with Sales and Project Teams to ensure financial requirements are fully represented * Conduct commercial evaluations, costings, pricing, and scenario planning to support strategic business decisions * Develop and maintain critical business skills within the team, supporting staff development and retention * Contribute to costing and pricing methodologies for long-term contracts * Interface and influence business leads at all organisational levels About you: * Ideally Qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA * Experienced finance professional with strong commercial acumen and exposure to project-based evaluations * Proven ability to build relationships across multiple functions * Knowledge of contract costing, pricing, and scenario planning advantageous * Experience in manufacturing, technology, construction, or other project-based industries desirable * Able to operate effectively in a fast-moving, complex environment AGY - Vitae Financial Recruitment We Exist To Be Different - Membership NOT Registration
