Job Description

Finance Manager – Fire Protection Construction Division
Location: Swanley, Kent
Salary: £50k - £55,500

We are a market-leading fire protection construction company, renowned for delivering high-quality, compliant, and innovative fire safety solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of a key division within the business.

This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to influence financial strategy while ensuring robust financial controls and processes are in place.

Key Responsibilities

  * Oversee all financial activities for the division, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency

  * Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) payments

  * Oversee supplier payments and maintain strong supplier relationships

  * Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements

  * Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing clear financial insights to senior leadership

  * Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability

  * Monitor cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability

  * Produce timely and accurate management accounts and reports

  * Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls

About You

  * Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role

  * Previous experience within a construction or related industry is highly desirable

  * Strong working knowledge of CIS, VAT, and payroll processes

  * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  * Commercially astute with the ability to influence decision-making

  * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  * Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  * Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred but not essential depending on experience
