We are seeking a hands‑on and detail‑focused Finance Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day finance operations for a highly established organisation. You will provide accurate, timely financial information to support decision‑making. This is a pivotal role, combining operational finance management with strategic input as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
The role works closely with an outsourced payroll and management accounts provider and is central to ensuring strong financial controls, smooth payment processes, effective cash flow management, and clear reporting.
Key Responsibilities include
Oversee purchase and sales ledgers, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and transaction processing
Manage and support weekly and monthly finance processes alongside the Finance Assistant
Prepare and supply information for outsourced management accounts
Support month‑end activities including accruals, journals, and reconciliations
Produce basic reports and financial summaries for operational insight
Monitor cash flow and highlight risks or variances promptly
Support timely revenue collection and resolution of queries
Prepare accurate payroll inputs using rostering, holiday, and third‑party systemsAs a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to strategic decision‑making, work collaboratively across departments, communicate financial insight clearly, and support organisational change and continuous improvement.
You will have senior‑level experience in finance operations, strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of core finance processes, the ability to manage deadlines independently, and confidence in explaining financial information clearly.
Desirable experience includes working with outsourced payroll or accounting providers, using Xero or similar systems, operating within multi‑site environments, and delivering improvements to financial processes, alongside behaviours that demonstrate organisation, reliability, confidentiality, collaboration, and a solutions‑focused mindset.
