Job Description
Anderson Knight are delighted to be representing our global client in the critical appointment of a Finance Manager, joining an already established and successful Finance operation.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will lead and support the Finance team, drive operational efficiency, and enhance the department’s analytical capability—particularly around business profitability. This is a hands-on role with direct involvement in financial reporting, month-end processes and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and develop a small team of direct reports
· Foster a deeper understanding of finance processes by explaining the ‘why’ behind tasks, not just the ‘how’
· Support team members working toward their ACCA qualification
· Oversee financial reporting for multiple entites, including
· Month-end tasks
· Preparation of management accounts
· Balance sheet reconciliations
· Accurate P&L reporting
· Present financial reports and ad hoc flash numbers monthly to the Head of Finance
· Work closely with business units and stakeholders to achieve financial objectives (e.g. job turnaround times, branch financial admin)
· Ensure compliance with the Group’s internal control framework
· Identify and implement IT improvements to drive process efficiency
· Perform hands-on accounting tasks, including journal postings
To be considered for this role, we are seeking a candidate:
· Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ICAS).
· Practical knowledge of IFRS
· Audit background
· Demonstrable experience in leading teams small teams
· Able to handle multiple deadlines without compromise of delivery.
