Atkinson Moss are working exclusively with a wholesale business on the outskirts of Norwich in their search for a Finance Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organisation through effective planning, budgeting, reporting, and control. This role will manage the day-to-day financial operations, provide strategic insights to senior management, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. The Finance Manager will play a key role in driving financial performance, improving processes, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including financial analysis and commentary
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and treasury functions
Manage and support a finance Assistant, including development, training, and performance reviews
Coordinate and manage external audits and liaise with auditors
Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and internal controls
Provide financial insight and support to key business decisions and investment appraisals
Oversee and support all transactional duties
Key Skills & Experience:
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
Proven experience in a similar finance management role
Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills
Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a finance team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines under pressure
