📍 Rochester, Kent
🕒 Hours: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday

About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join our client's dynamic finance team on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent work-life balance while maintaining full involvement in financial operations, compliance, and strategic planning. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, overseeing accounting processes, and delivering key financial insights that support the business’s growth and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Maintain accurate and timely financial records
* Manage income, expenses, and all business transactions
* Serve as main point of contact for external auditors
Asset Management
* Maintain and monitor fixed asset registers
* Oversee asset depreciation and payment schedules
Tax Compliance
* Prepare and submit VAT, payroll tax, income tax, and corporate tax returns
* Ensure compliance with UK tax legislation and assist with audits
Strategic Financial Support
* Analyse financial data and KPIs
* Prepare management and group reports
* Advise on budget planning and investment decisions
Cost Management & Planning
* Perform cost analysis and support financial planning
* Manage intercompany reconciliations and budget development
Internal Controls & Training
* Establish robust financial controls and booking procedures
* Provide training and advice on accounting processes across departments
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* AAT Level 3 qualification (minimum) or equivalent
* Certified accountant (preferred)
* Minimum 5 years’ practical financial management experience
* Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax law
* Proficient in accounting and tax software
