Job Description
Anderson Knight are currently business partnering with a key client based in Glasgow who are seeking to recruit the position of Finance Manager.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key purpose of the role is to manage a large finance team to ensure tight financial deadlines are met and to support the achievement of the company's goals.
The key duties of the position will include:
• Manage and oversee daily finance operations, including Month end reporting, payroll, Subcontractor ledger and purchase ledger
• Prepare, consolidate and present monthly management accounts
• Provide weekly updates to FC around cash forecasting and management
• Liaise with auditors and corporation tax professionals
• Assist with the preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts
• Perform regular Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliations
• Ensure compliance is met to company standards around HMRC regulations, CIS, VAT & PAYE
• Oversee management of finance function providing support and assistance to the team when required
The ideal candidate will posses the following:
• Fully Qualified ACCA/CA/CIMA Accountant with 2 years PQE Experience
• Strong financial processes and regulations experience
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Ability to provide financial commentary on complex projects
• Work closely with commercial / operational teams
• Experience of the Construction Industry preferred but not essential
