Description
Manage the preparation and delivery of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial performance.
Preparing and posting journal entries
Completing VAT returns for all companies
Preparation of quarterly management accounts
Managing the purchase ledger, including invoice processing and supplier reconciliation
Overseeing credit control, insurance of credit accounts and chasing outstanding debts
Producing cash flow forecasts and monitoring variances
Monthly control account reconciliation
Performing bank reconciliations, including USD and Euro accounts
Assisting with stock control and inventory adjustments
Preparing and submitting confirmation statements
Supporting with general ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required
Government Surveys keeping record of responses
Audit file preparation
Assist with year-end and other financial statements, journal postings, accruals, and prepayments
Reconciliation of all balance sheet control accounts & bank accounts
Nominal ledger balance sheet and bank postings including controlling and overseeing lease direct debits and maintaining lease contract files.
Liaise with third party suppliers and professionals as necessary
Managing cost projections spreadsheet for various projects.
Business partner with operations directors to ensure that costings are accurate.
Keeping up to date and well informed on cyber and other business fraud (this is a standard responsibility of all those within the finance department and has been highlighted due to the growing increase of fraud across all sectors)
Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
Professional qualifications: AAT, CIMA, ACCA (Part Qualified)
Proven experience in financial management
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
Proficiency in financial software and tools.
