Finance Manager | Merseyside | Convenience Retail
Zachary Daniels Recruitment are delighted to be supporting this well established convenience retailer in the appointment of a Finance Manager to help facilitate a period of sustained growth and investment.
As Finance Manager your role will blend Management Accounting with business partnering alongside the requirement to roll your sleeves up when required.
Finance Manager Key Responsibilities
Own the month-end process, management accounts, and reconciliations
Deliver detailed variance analysis, commentary, and reporting packs
Lead budgeting and forecasting across store operations and support group planning
Provide financial modelling and analysis for commercial decisions and strategic projects
Maintain strong control of cash flow, working capital, and cost management
Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and regulatory requirements
Partner with operational leaders to drive performance and efficiency
Act as the key finance contact for the MDTypical Background:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Minimum 5-6 years of progressive finance experience
Strong foundation in both financial control and FP&A
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-oriented
Strong interpersonal skills and confident communicating across all levels
Experience working closely with senior leadership, ideally in a retail or fmcg setting
