Finance Manager
Manchester City Centre - Full time office based
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll take full ownership of the day-to-day finance operations managing a team of two Accounts Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a varied leadership role in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Description
Key responsibilities of a Finance Manager will include:
Monthly general ledger transactions, ensuring correct coding to budget accounts
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Produce financial and management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, variance analysis.
Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines
Support annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting
Monitor and report on cash flow and cash availability
Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts
Manage 2x Purchase Ledger clerks as direct reports
Mentor team members to support succession planning
Continuously review accounting processes to improve efficiency and reduce costsProfile
A successful Finance Manager will have:
Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role
Strong understanding of management accounts, budgeting, cash flow and a background in transactional processes
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive, solution-focused mindset
Experience with accounting software ideally Xero
CIS submissions and transfers will be beneficial
