Job Description
Our Clients are seeking a proactive and capable Finance Manager to join our growing finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller (FC), this role is pivotal in supporting the day-to-day financial operations, managing two finance officers, and helping the business scale. The Finance Manager will deputise for the FC when required and will play a key role in driving improvements in financial processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities -
* Oversee daily finance operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all core processes
* Manage and develop two finance staff (AP/AR or assistant accountants)
* Own and improve the month-end close process, ensuring delivery within set deadlines
* Monitor cash flow and working capital, providing regular updates to the FC
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
* Deputise for the FC during periods of absence or high workload
* Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and statutory requirements
* Assist in preparing management reports, board packs, and ad hoc financial analysis
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and system optimisation
* Contribute to projects related to business scaling, including system changes or acquisitions
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
* Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
* Experience in SME or fast-paced finance environments
* Proven ability to manage and develop team members
* Strong technical accounting skills and hands-on approach
* Confident using finance systems (e.g. Xero)
* Excellent Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-starter, able to manage competing deadlines and priorities
* Comfortable working closely with operations, commercial, and leadership teams
* Ambition to grow with the business and take on broader responsibilities over timeBefore You Apply
