Finance Officer- Based in Paulton
30 hours per week Monday - Friday ( 8-4) Flexible- BUT OFFICE BASED
£15-£16 an hour

About the Role:
We're looking for a Finance Officer to help us keep our financial records accurate and in line with regulations. In this role, you'll handle everyday accounting tasks, financial planning and analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. You'll also work closely with management to improve financial processes and policies that support our organisation's goals.
What We're Looking For:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Familiarity with accounting software, especially Sage, and advanced skills in Excel
Ability to prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management
Knowledge of statutory requirements, like VAT returns
Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Skill in reconciling bank statements and ensuring accurate financial data
AAT qualification or QBE
Experience in creating annual budgets and monthly cash flow forecasts
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work with external auditors during audits
Leadership skills to guide team members when necessaryKey Responsibilities:

Continuously improve our accounting processes
Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including accruals and prepayments
Create accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Collaborate with senior management on budgeting and forecasting
Analyse financial performance and present findings to management
Manage working capital and prepare rolling cash flow forecasts
Act as the main point of contact for the Holdings company, auditors, and accountants
Ensure VAT compliance and accuracy in submissions and payments
Provide data-driven insights to support strategic financial decisions
Maintain financial records following best practices and internal controlsBefore You Apply
