NXTGEN are supporting a growing organisation with the recruitment of a Finance Officer to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations. As Finance Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting month-end, payroll, and ledgers while working closely with senior management. This Finance Officer position offers real variety, autonomy, and the chance to contribute to the business's continued success.

The Finance Officer role:
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring payments are accurate and on time.
Maintain and reconcile records in Sage 50 (multi-currency: GBP, EUR, USD).
Process payroll for up to 20 staff, including contracts, leavers, and pensions.
Oversee sales and purchase ledger invoices and credit notes.
Assist with monthly profit and loss reports and support external accountants with year-end accounts.
Review HMRC postponed VAT statements and ensure compliance with regulations.
Provide general admin support and take on ad-hoc tasks where required.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a finance role (financial services experience is a plus).
Proficiency with Sage 50 and strong Excel skills.
A methodical, detail-focused approach to data entry and reconciliations.
Organisational skills to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Great communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.Job Type: Full-time
