Are you ready to take ownership of financial operations in a fast-growing, forward-thinking, successful hospitality business? We're looking for a Finance Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, process automation, and financial insight.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with people management, while transforming processes through innovation and technology.
What you'll be doing
Month & Year-End - Lead period-end closing for AP/AR, delivering accurate reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
Reporting & Analysis - Produce and review financial reports (aging, cashflow, vendor performance) to support decision-making.
Compliance & Controls - Maintain robust financial controls across cash management, expenses, tax (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax) and audit requirements.
Team Leadership - Manage and develop Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong performance.
Financial Operations - Oversee all AP/AR processes including invoice and payment runs, billing, reconciliations, and cash management.
Process Transformation - Identify and implement automation, AI, and other technologies to streamline operations and boost efficiency.
Vendor & Working Capital Management - Negotiate supplier terms, manage vendor relationships, and optimise working capital.
Training & Development - Coach, support and upskill your team, ensuring growth and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
Team Management Experience
Strong background in process automation and financial system improvements.
Excellent Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualisation).
Ability to create clear, accurate financial reports to inform business decisions.
Solid understanding of financial controls, compliance, and tax regulations.
Commercially aware, with experience providing financial insights that impact strategy.
Awareness of how AI can be applied in financial operations.
Experience managing AP/AR teams with a proven record of delivering results.
