We're partnering with a well-established, globally expanding business headquartered in Edgbaston, who are looking to bring in a Financial Accountant. This is a key hire, offering you the chance to take ownership of month-end, statutory accounts, and reporting, while being a part of a friendly and ambitious finance team. The company offers a hybrid setup (3 days in the office), a salary of up to £60,000 + bonus, and excellent progression opportunities as they continue to scale internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing the reporting for and supporting with preparing monthly board packs, including financial commentary and analysis
Producing annual statutory accounts in accordance with relevant reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP)
Working closely with external auditors during year-end
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Supporting payroll administration in coordination with the external payroll provider
Managing and reconciling balance sheet accounts
Reviewing and improving internal controls and processes
Collaborating with teams across the UK and international locations
Supporting ad hoc finance projects as the business continues its growth journeyCandidate Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
Ideally practice trained with strong experience in financial reporting and audit
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
Confident Excel skills and familiarity with modern accounting systems
A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and ability to meet deadlines
