Financial Accountant – Derby Hybrid Up to £60K
I'm partnering with a thriving, fast-growing business in Derby offering a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership, make an impact, and shape the role as your own. Hybrid working (2–3 days in office) and a collaborative team culture make this a standout opportunity.
About You
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
Strong hands-on experience in financial accounting, tax, and statutory reporting
Ready to take the lead on VAT, audits, and financial close
Key Responsibilities
Own VAT submissions across Europe and support international filings
Liaise with external accountants to ensure consistency across systems
Lead on statutory accounts, reconciliations, and tax compliance
Support audits and monthly/year-end close
Improve processes and maintain up-to-date financial policies
Collaborate across teams and regions
Career Progression
Exposure to international finance and cross-border projects
Develop specialisms in VAT, transfer pricing, or audit strategy
CPD and technical training to support your journey
Availability
Immediate or short notice availability is advantageous
