Financial Assistant / Credit Control
Edinburgh (Part-time)
First People Solutions is recruiting for a Credit Control / Financial Assistant to join a leading consulting engineer in Edinburgh. We are looking for a skilled professional to support their finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in finance, bookkeeping, or credit control who is seeking flexible hours in a professional services environment.
The Role
Managing accounts receivable and following up on outstanding payments
Preparing and issuing client invoices
Maintaining accurate records of client accounts and payment schedules
Liaising with project managers and directors on billing and debt collection
Assisting with reconciliations, expenses, and general finance admin
Supporting month-end processes
About You
Experience in credit control, invoicing, or financial administration.
Confident using relevant CRM software
Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
Clear and professional communication style
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Experience working within a consulting engineering practice, civil engineering firm, or similar professional services environment would be an advantage
